Required Texts/ Literature.
This weebly will offer students a variety of printable resources for use in the classroom. Students are expected to print these and have them ready on the dates specified in the course calendar.
Novels.
Students will read several novels and plays over the course of the semester. Some of these will be available through the school. Others may require purchase. I will make sure that the books are available at Barnes and Noble at the Arboretum*. My recommendation is that students always purchase the novels we will read. One reason is that this allows students to annotate their texts freely. Another benefit is that they may add to their personal libraries. If cost is a factor, students may speak with me privately about arrangements to make books available to them.
Novels/Plays/Books to Purchase.
- Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe
- Much Ado About Nothing, by William Shakespeare (preferably the Folger edition)
- A Thousand Splendid Suns, by Khaled Hosseini
